Type of Supervised Residential House:
Transition/Diversion
This cozy home is located in the small town of McMinnville, Tennessee. It is an older home that has been beautifully renovated. It is co-ed and houses eight members. There is separated baths for gender. Since it is located in town the members that reside there have access to shopping, library and parks.
This level of supervised housing is utilized as a transition from the hospital setting to a lower level of housing, such as supervised residential.
To be eligible for this level of housing a member would have to have failed other supervised settings of some type in the past and require supervised residential for support and compliance.
It is also utilized as a diversion from hospitalization when a member is requiring a higher level of support due to an increase of mental health symptoms/increase in medical need or is failing a lower level of housing, such as supervised residential.
The staffing is greater at this level of supervised housing then supervised residential in that there is a 2:8 ratio of staff to member at all times. There is also a full time RN on staff.
